Our Independent Medical Exam reports are distinguished by the following:

• IME Reports are typed on the Physician's Letterhead.
  
• When requested, IME Reports are addressed directly to your firm.
  
• IME Reports contain a narrative history section as stated by the plaintiff/claimant.
  
• IME Reports contain a detailed file review of all pertinent medical and legal records.
  
• IME Reports contain a comprehensive objective exam upon which the physician’s conclusions are based.
  
• IME Reports state a diagnosis relative to the physicians’ specialty and the alleged injuries upon which the case is based.
  
• The conclusion section answers and verifies The Bill of Particulars/Complaint and any Supplementals.
  
• A perjury statement is included above the doctor’s signature.
  
• IME Reports are ink signed by the IME physician.
  

Issues like treatment and causal relationship are not addressed unless requested. Areas not alleged as injured in the Bill of Particulars or Complaint are similarly not addressed. The purpose of the IME is to target the alleged areas of injury to validate the condition of the examinee; as such, the IME is not a comprehensive physical and the requesting party is entitled to have its specific questions addressed in the report.
